In the midst of a global pandemic, Rogers is partnering with innovative technology and high schools across the country to provide automated sports production during the era of social distancing. Rogers manages the installation arm of an integrated hardware and software package to offer a safer alternative to school’s fans.
Rogers began their partnership with NFHS (National Federation of State High School Associations), PlayOn! Sports, and Pixellott back in 2018 to offer turnkey solutions for high schools nationwide. Schools have been updating their technological capabilities over the last few years for fans who could not make an event. However, numbers have spiked in the midst of COVID-19. This pandemic is making faculty rethink the safety of the students and their families. With the new equipment installed, these cameras will give viewers a bird’s eye view of all sporting events, which they can watch online from anywhere, on any device.
Rogers has managed one time facility installation of electrical and low voltage at 1000+ locations and counting. Rogers installs the 120 volt outlet and Ethernet connection within hours and connects the Pixellot hardware to the network. As a part of the commissioning process, Rogers technicians mount and secure the camera in optimized location to ensure 180-degree panoramic high quality video, followed by a systems test to guarantee quality results. Once installed, each Pixellot unit can integrate with individual school’s coaching software as well as auto-tracking features that enable cameras to follow in on all of the action packed sporting events.
