As the only self-performing national electrical and lighting provider with local employees servicing local customers, Rogers Electric believes it is important to support the communities where our employees and customers live and work. We are dedicated to numerous community service projects and initiatives that strengthen our communities particularly those of the American Heart Association.
Rogers is a proud sponsor of the AHA. In 2015, leading up to the Annual Atlanta Heart Walk, our Corporate Office held a fall festival featuring an employee dunk tank to raise money for the AHA. At the 2015 Atlanta Heart Walk, Rogers Electric was proud to announce we had raised over $1,600 for the AHA! In 2016, leading up the Annual Atlanta Heart Walk, our Corporate Office held a Heart Walk Spirit Week ending with a Pie in the Face Contest! Rogers raised $650 in pie donations alone! Combining the Spirit Week donations with the contest donations, Rogers managed to raise over $3300!
This year, we set our sights set higher, much higher. Rogers planned a Helping Hearts Golf Tournament with 100% of proceeds going to the AHA. On August 17th, customers, vendors and friends joined us at Bradshaw Farms Golf Club for some fun and healthy competition all in support of the American Heart Association. Not only did we meet our lifesaving goal of $50,000 but we surpassed it! Together thanks to these donations, we can make healthier, longer lives possible for everyone.
From the bottom of our hearts, we want to say THANK YOU! We were proud to dedicate our 2017 Charity Golf Tournament to the American Heart Association and help change lives with this number. So how much did we raise? We’re proud to announce we raised $54,817.07 with every penny going to the American Heart Association.
We are now that much more excited to see what we can accomplish together next year at our 2nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament!
