Rogers Services Talks Hurricane Preparedness At 2012 PRSM Mid-year Conference

September 10, 2012 – When natural disasters strike a specific area or an entire region, businesses can be shut down in a matter of minutes. Electrical service providers must be quick to respond and ready to act, and planning ahead is key to getting customers back up and running as quickly and as efficiently as possible. With hurricane season in full force, Rogers Services, one of the country’s leading electrical service providers, will share its experience and expertise in disaster recovery at the 2012 PRSM Mid-Year Conference in New Orleans, La. next week.

“Every retail facility should have some disaster recovery plan in place for worst case scenarios,” said Chris Rogers, president and CEO of Rogers Services. “If your customers don’t, help them establish one. Even more importantly, electrical service providers must be prepared themselves by establishing relationships with equipment vendors in the area, organizing their recovery team, setting up a command center and putting the communication processes in place with customers.”

As a FEMA First Responder, Rogers Services is handles thousands of emergency service calls for weather-related disasters. At this year’s PRSM Mid-Year Conference, “Tools of the Trade,” Rogers Services will share knowledge on each of the program’s spotlights when responding to a hurricane or other natural disaster: site inspections, water intrusion, vendor partnerships and up-to-date technology.

The three-day conference, coordinated and produced by the Professional Retail Store Maintenance Association, will be held in New Orleans, La. at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside from September 18 – 20. Rogers Services will be exhibiting at booth 66 throughout the week.
