Thankful Thursday
To continue into January off with an extreme emphasis on our technicians around the country, we have had specific employees nominated by their managers for their outstanding performance working at Rogers. Our goal with each week’s Employee Spotlight is to showcase the hard work our team puts in day in and day out, most of the time just doing their job without expecting any kind of recognition. These specific and special techs are the kind of employees our HR Team works so hard to recruit, and with each new Employee Spotlight we get to share what an incredible job they are doing to bring in the brightest and best employees to the company. We are proud to have each and every technician who gets spotlighted on our team. We are excited to share how they are going above and beyond on a daily basis to not only do their job well, but to impact our customers and people within our community with their care, attentiveness, and hard work on job sites.
This week, one of our service electricians out of Wisconsin, Jason Lucas, is being recognized for his hard work. Our HR Department sat down with Jason to get a little bit more insight on who he is outside of Rogers and what he loves about working for the company.
Where do you live?
Prescott, WI
How long have you & your spouse been together? How did you meet?
My wife Deelynn and I have been together for 12 years, married for 7. We met on the beach in Mexico.
What ages are your children?
I have two stepsons, Hunter is 21 and Wyatt is 17.
Do you have any family or children accomplishments you’d like to share?
Hunter, our oldest graduated technical college to become an electrician with a scholarship from the Rogers Charitable Foundation. Thank you Rogers!
Wyatt placed 7th in the state of Wisconsin for the high jump in track and field as a junior.
My wife Deelynn started her career as an dental assistant, and over the course of her time has held multiple different positions in the Dental field and now is office manager of a practice.
What is your favorite vacation spot? Or where’s somewhere you have always wanted to take your family?
My family loves spending vacation at Ft. Meyers Beach.
What are your favorite hobbies to do together?
We love boating and/jet skiing as a family.
What’s your favorite family dinner?
We have family dinners every Wednesday night, everyone commits to sharing family dinner time even with our crazy schedules. The food is not so important, the time spent together outweighs it.
What does family mean to you?
A group that enjoys each other’s company, looks out for one another, and helps one another to succeed in life.
