Intern Spotlight: Makenna Fairfield

Our summer interns are an integral part of Rogers Electric and we are happy to show them some appreciation. We had the pleasure of sitting down with our finance intern and Georgia Tech student, Makenna Fairfield, for a review of her summer so far.

What piqued your interest in Rogers Electric? Pertaining to your specific role here.

Over the past school year, I started diving into my finance concentration courses, and I thought it would be interesting to see how the concepts I was learning in class could be applied in a real-world business. I saw the potential to be a finance intern at Rogers Electric, and I thought it would be a great opportunity to learn and grow in the development of my skill sets, especially since Rogers Electric serves so many different customers. Also, I saw the Rogers Electric office was located in Alpharetta, GA which is close to home for me!

Which three words would you use to describe Rogers?

Connected, Flexible, Team-Focused

What are you most excited to learn at Rogers Electric this summer?

I am most excited to learn about Rogers Electric and how they operate as a business! With a lot of background in different aspects of business, and I am excited to see how all these pieces interact in a larger business and work together to serve customers. I am also eager to learn more about the different measures and uses of financial reporting here to further meet the internal and external needs of the company.

What are you expecting to gain from this experience?

I am expecting a very hands-on experience and to learn a lot! I am also hoping to build strong connections with my fellow coworkers and interns that make working here enjoyable!!
