Rogers Spotlight: Bob Sample

Rogers Spotlight: Bob Sample

#EMPLOYEESPOTLIGHT

Rogers is excited to make our way into April with high expectations and strong intentions to continue into the the warmer months. We’ve made it a goal this year to show as much appreciation as we possibly can to the employees who put in the work to make Rogers the success it is on a day to day basis. As always, our intentions throughout the year not only include showing how incredibly thankful we are for our employees, but continuing to give back to our local communities. Without our employees across the country working as hard as they do daily, Rogers would not be the success that it is.

For this week’s Thankful Thursday, we are highlighting an employee who has been loyal to Rogers over the past 30 years. Employees tend to come and go over long periods of time, but it’s absolutely incredible when we get to spend an extended amount of time working with someone within the company. With that being said, Bob Sample is celebrating his 30th year anniversary here at Rogers working as a Project Superintendent and we are so incredibly lucky to have such a loyal, hardworking employee on our team. Bob, thank you for the many many years put in here at Rogers! We appreciate you immensely.

We sat down with Bob to hear about how he started out in the industry, what his future plans are, and a little bit about his position here at Rogers.

Why did you get started in this industry?

I started working for a electrical contractor when I was In 10th grade and worked summers and spring break for extra money. I found that I had a talent for doing electrical work.

What is your favorite thing about your job at Rogers?

My favorite part about working for Rogers is running large projects and finishing them on time and under budget. I have seen Rogers grow from a small building that we worked out of to the multi-million
dollar business it is today. I have trained many people during my time at Rogers and have learned a lot along the way.

What is your favorite thing about your job at Rogers?

I plan to retire one day and travel with my wife and not just for work. Rogers has been good to me and my family.

We’re so appreciative of all of the hard work you put in with Rogers, Bob. We truly wouldn’t be where we are without employees like you.

Look for next week’s spotlight when we Get Connected to the People Behind Rogers and honor another in the Rogers family.
