Thankful Thursday: Summer Intern Edition!
Thankful Thursday is back this week with a special Intern Edition! In honor of our spectacular group of summer interns, we’d like to take the next few weeks to honor them and all of the great things they’re working on this summer at Rogers. In case you’ve missed the last few blog posts, Rogers has decided to implement a weekly #thankfulthursday to show appreciation for all that we have to be thankful for throughout the year.
Although we have been highlighting our techs with our Rogers Spotlights, it’s time to give our awesome interns some appreciation for the next couple of weeks.
In this week’s installment, we would like to welcome one of our new and already hardworking Operations interns, Sammi Wiles.
Sammi is currently a student at University of Georgia. Sammi is expected to graduate in the spring of 2019 with a degree in Management with an emphasis in Operations + Supply Chain Management. I sat down with Sammi last week to get some insight to her interest in Rogers and what she’s most looking forward to this summer as a member of our Operations team.
Sammi, what peaked your interest in Rogers?
“I was introduced to Rogers at my school career fair. After that I researched the company more in depth and found that they seem to value their employees and help the community, which really appealed to me. It didn’t hurt that Rogers is located in my hometown.”
What are you most excited to learn at Rogers this summer?
“I’m excited to learn how the things that I have been taught in my classes apply in a real world setting.”
What are your summer goals within your role at Rogers?
“My goal for this summer is to build real world skills that I can apply in my future career.”
We can’t wait to see you accomplish all of these things! Congratulations on your spotlight Sammi, you more than deserve it and we’re excited to see all of the great things you accomplish with Rogers.
We’re proud to have you as a new member of the Rogers Family!
